What is the Rich Content Editor (RCE)?

The Rich Content Editor (RCE) is an online editing tool for creating content. It includes a menubar, toolbar, content space, and other features that allow you to create content containing formatted text, hyperlinks, images, media, mathematical formulas, embedded objects, tables, and more. You can use the the RCE in the following Canvas features: Announcements, Assignments, Discussions, New Quizzes, Pages, Quizzes, and Syllabus. Using the RCE in an effective way also ensures accessibility for all students in your course.

In this module we will learn how to use the following aspects of the RCE in order to create a clear, accessible, path for students to follow. We will also take a look at Student View, a tool built into Canvas to preview your content from a "test" student's point of view.
